Imposter Syndrome: Fighting it
Imposter syndrome is the belief that we are not qualified for our positions or that our triumphs are not the consequence of our skills but rather merely of good fortune.
It's a level of self-doubt that leads us to believe we're not good enough, and that others will think we're dishonest.
How can we beat the self doubt?
It can be a mantra you say to yourself, a word to live by for the day, or a promise to yourself.
Learn from each day and each experience
When you find yourself freaking out on the inside, and feeling like you don’t belong, take a minute and try to figure out what it is that is bothering you.
Cultivate work relationships
Be the bigger person; get to know your female colleagues on a more personal level. It can completely change the dynamic!
Support your fellow colleagues
Putting others down does not make us look good, just as giving others compliments does not make us seem less able.
